The drama of design

The success of the design stems from the combination of its bold, contemporary style and its prominent location. The overall effect is a structure that is truly unique.  Externally, the visual strength of the design is dramatized by two tapering, illuminated `fins` that sweep towards and away from each other as they stretch skywards.  When viewed from a distance, the `fins` form a strong signature statement for the building in colour, form, light and shadow.

These `fins` mark the boundaries for the main entrance and roof leisure facilities and are effectively used to connect the building to the ground level/promenade deck/retail facilities while providing structural support and strength for the residential blocks.

Colour, shadow, texture and materials have been carefully explored for the modeling of the building, and have been developed to provide a rich, balanced composition that is enhanced on all four sides by the clean horizontal lines of the residential balc onies and a similar banding of the external skin.
